Pushkar, India

The ancient city of Pushkar is located in Rajasthan in Northwest India. Pushkar Lake is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in the Hindu religion and many ghats (steps leading to bathing areas) line the shore. Pushkar is also the site of the Jagatpita Brahma Mandir, a 14th century Brahma Temple which is the most prominent of the city’s hundreds of temples.

The Pushkar Fair/Pushkar Mela (Pushkar Camel Fair) is held in Pushkar, Rajasthan for 5 days in late October and early November.
